Job Description

That's No Moon seeks a Cinematic Pipeline TD to integrate cinematic scenes in Unreal Engine, using data from MotionBuilder or Maya. Responsibilities include developing tools to improve workflow efficiency, collaborating with various departments (engineering, animation TD), proactive QC and troubleshooting of cinematic fidelity across animation, lighting, VFX, rigging, and Lumen. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with R&D to improve the pipeline, possess expert skills in cinematic pipelines, sequencer, and animation pipelines, and have 2-3 years of AAA game cinematic pipeline experience. Strong Unreal Engine, Blueprints, and C++ knowledge is essential. This is a temporary project hire position with benefits.

We are looking for a Cinematic Pipeline TD to Work with Cinematics, Art, engineering, audio, TD and animation to ensure cinematics pipeline and in game transitions align with the game's goals. Candidate will integrate cinematics and problem solve unforeseen technical issues that arise.  Collaborate with several departments to achieve seamless blends from gameplay to cinematics. 

 
Responsibilities:   

  • Intergrade cinematic scene in Unreal using data from motion builder and or Maya.  
  • Develop tools and collaborate with various departments, including engineering and Anim TD to improve workflow and efficiency in the cinematic pipe.   
  • Proactively QC and troubleshoot cinematic fidelity from animation, lighting, vfx, rigging, and Lumen.  
  • Comfortable doing their own R&D to proactively improve the pipeline. 

 
Requirements & Skills:   

  • Expert skills in cinematic pipelines, sequencer, and animation pipelines.  
  • 2-3 years’ experience in shipped AAA game pipeline cinematics. 
  • Strong Knowledge of Unreal, blueprints, C++. 
  • Familiar with cross-department handoffs regarding cinematic workflows, from mocap and assembly to finished in engine scenes. 
  • Would be nice to have Python, Maya/Mobu. 
  • Proactive problem solver. 
  • Great communicator. 


(This is a temporary “Project Hire” position. The anticipated duration of this assignment will vary. TNM Project Hire employees will be eligible to participate in a number of TNM benefit plans such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and flexible PTO)

TNM considers a number of factors when determining each role's base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is U.S. only and not applicable for locations outside of the U.S.

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $89,000 - $116,000
