Luma Melbourne is hiring Mid to Senior Compositors to join our growing global team.

Please note that candidates should be currently located within Australia for consideration.

We offer a hybrid working model at our Melbourne studio.

You Can

    • Composite both digital and live action elements to create groundbreaking visual effects shots for feature films
    • Match colour, lighting and exposure of rendered CG or photographed elements with plate photography
    • Execute 2D and 3D Tracks, extract and integrate mattes, layer elements and grade colour
    • Grain and degrain when necessary along with paint fixes and rotoscoping
    • Understand stereo (3D) and anamorphic compositing in Nuke
    • Collaborate with fellow artists from other disciplines to meet challenging production deadlines

You Have

    • At least three years of experience in node based Compositing on feature films
    • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer graphics or the equivalent combination of education and experience  
    • An understanding of stereo (3D) and anamorphic compositing in Nuke
    • A proficiency in 3D multi-pass rendering techniques
    • A strong aesthetic eye for photo realism and color space concepts 
    • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
    • A team oriented mentality with a 'get it done' attitude
    • An ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
    • An ability to take direction and implement feedback with a positive attitude 
    • Some Katana and Arnold experience (preferred but not required)
