Job Description

Technical Lighting TD role at DNEG Animation requires experience with Katana, Renderman, scripting (Python, Lua), and team collaboration.

Must have:

Feature animation
Katana experience
Renderman expertise
Scripting (Python)

Good to have:

Exceptional communication
Software development
Lighting, shading
Nuke experience

Description

Position at DNEG

Must Have

Feature animation, visual effects, or game industry production experience;
Experience with Katana and Renderman;
Scripting experience (Python, Lua, etc.);
Strong technical and creative problem solving skills;
Must have experience collaborating with a team of artists;
Solid understanding of a VFX or Feature Animation pipeline;
Understanding of modern physically based rendering technology and pipelines;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

Exceptional communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups;
Software development experience (Python, C, C++, etc.);
Experience lighting, shading and/or compositing;
Experience with Nuke;
Ability to prototype rapidly and deliver quick solutions;
Previous work experience working in a fast paced creative technology environment.
