Job Description

The Finance Manager will play a key role in establishing a Centre of Excellence to drive efficiency, standardization, and automation. Responsibilities include leading workshops, documenting processes, driving process improvements, integrating AI technologies, managing financial controls, analyzing data, defining company strategy, building team skills, and leading corporate finance decisions. The role involves working closely with teams in Navi Mumbai and London to empower clients in delivering exceptional public services by harnessing technology and data. The ideal candidate should have a track record of delivering results, embrace change, and have excellent stakeholder management experience. They should also be ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience working within large, complex businesses, and possess strong understanding of finance processes.

THE ROLE

You will play a key role in establishing and developing a Centre of Excellence to drive efficiency, standardisation, and automation across the business, working in close collaboration with various teams in Navi Mumbai and London.

Key responsibilities

The Finance Manage is a vital role within Agilisys and this role will lead end-to-end processes in cash flow forecasting, P2P, O2C, and R2R. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and progressive environment, where you will support us in building our mission to empower our clients to deliver exceptional public services by harnessing the full potential of technology and data.

The successful Finance Manager will play a vital role in leading and shaping the Finance department to:

  • Lead workshops with stakeholders to understand key finance processes, risks, gaps, and inefficiencies across people, process, technology, data, and internal controls.
  • Understand and document current processes, pain points, and stakeholder feedback via process flow diagrams.
  • Drive process improvement and implement more robust financial controls by leveraging emerging technologies such as Generative AI.
  • Act as the key liaison between finance and other departments to guarantee seamless integration.
  • Lead the integration of AI technologies into operations, driving innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Understand how to assess, manage, and report on pricing, gross margin, and burn rates.
  • Play a significant role in defining and developing company strategy, ensuring team goals are aligned with broader business objectives, and strategically prioritize actions.
  • Build team skills, visualize career paths, proactively identify skills gaps, and suggest additional training/skill development across the organization.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis independently, mentor others in data literacy, and promote the use of Gen AI tools for various data-related tasks.
  • Establish company growth strategy focusing on long-term sustainability and market leadership.
  • Lead corporate finance decisions to drive growth and ensure competitive advantage.
  • Set vision and strategic direction, prioritise values, create systems and practices supporting these principles.
  • Drive company-wide initiatives enhancing data-driven decision-making and lead the organisation in embracing data and Gen AI tools for continuous improvement and innovation.

The Ideal Candidate

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience working within large, more complex businesses.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and systems and experience in implementing new systems and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including professional written and spoken English.
  • Strong practical analytical skills, ability to effectively interpret, summarise, and document data.
  • Self-starter who is able to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight.
  • Prior management and direct supervisory experience in a team environment.
