Lead a team responsible for growing Google Cloud's data analytics business. Build and expand relationships with new and existing customers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Field Sales, Customer Engineering, etc.) to achieve business goals. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to scale business impact. Partner with various teams to understand customer needs and improve messaging. Expand relationships to influence direction and advise teams and accounts. Inspire executive partnerships. Report forecasts and business performance. Foster a positive and high-performing team culture.
Must have:
  • 12+ years sales experience in enterprise software/cloud
  • Leadership experience in quota-carrying teams
  • Experience selling data analytics/management technologies
  • Go-to-market strategy development
  • Cross-functional team influence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with Google Cloud Data Analytics offerings
  • Technical stack experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Leadership experience within a quota-carrying team, such as people management, team lead, mentorship or coaching.
  • Experience in selling data analytics or data management technologies to clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in planning and organizing go-to-market strategies, business programs, and sales activity within team and territory.
  • Experience in products, solutions, and market trends to analyse sales performance data or market changes, to motivate direction.
  • Experience with relevant technical stacks and Google Cloud Data Analytics offerings (e.g., Predictive Analytics, Hadoop/Spark Data lakes).
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams to impact business goals, customer experience, and expansion.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation, active listening, and program management skills.

You will effectively build relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Field Sales, Customer Engineering, Solution Architecture, Product) and customers, supporting the team to do the same. You will ensure the team has the necessary promoting skills to demonstrate product functionality and comprehensive overviews of key business use cases, and close business. You will support a positive, high-performing, and inclusive team culture, while leading with empathy and identifying ways to multiply the impact of the team as a whole to motivate overall value for Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and high-performing team culture, support the team and motivate pipelines, manage business cycles from lead generation to customer onboarding, and meet and exceed business goals.
  • Develop and own the go-to-market plan to scale and impact business in key areas, including business growth, net new customer growth, customer expansion and retention, and customer reference ability.
  • Partner with Field Sales, Marketing, Customer Engineering, Customer Success, Channels, Product, and Engineering to understand customer's voice, impact messaging and collateral, and provide prospect and customer experience.
  • Expand relationships to influence direction and be a trusted advisor to team and their accounts. Inspire executives at prospective customers to partner with Google.
  • Represent business in forecasts, town halls and meetings; report forecasts and business performance in Salesforce and other tools.
