Job Description

This Data Modeller role requires 5+ years of IT experience as a technical analyst or data modeler. Responsibilities include handling business requests from analysis to implementation in financial messaging (ISO 20022, SWIFT Fin), implementing data conversion using a low-code workbench, collaborating with stakeholders, applying software engineering best practices (Git, unit testing, CI/CD), defining and implementing unit tests, performing ad-hoc analyses, and collaborating with other teams to enable messaging data flows. Strong SQL and MS Access skills are essential, along with a basic understanding of coding concepts and experience with XML data and schemas. The role involves working in mission-critical environments and contributing to application architecture and design.

Project description

Do you have the passion for true Data Modelling by bringing highly automated, scalable and reusable solutions to live on both on-prem and cloud?
Are you able to take a central role in the full development lifecycle of your team, providing input on application architecture/design, industry best practices by challenging the status quo and living continuous improvement culture?

Responsibilities

? Take on responsibility for business requests from analysis to implementation in financial messaging working with ISO 20022, SWFT Fin and other market formats (training provided)

? Implement data conversion using a low-code workbench which are used in multiple services and applications across the bank

? Work closely with stakeholders to identify requirements and develop suitable solutions with high attention to detail

? Apply software engineering principles and best practices such as Git version control, automated unit testing and software deployments (CI/CD)

? Define and implement unit tests for your solutions to ensure high quality standards

? Prioritize and perform ad hoc analyses of issues on test and production environment

? Collaborate with other teams to enable messaging data flows across the bank by providing a first-class service

? SQL

Good understanding of the language and being able to write SELECT, UPDATE and INSERT queries.

? MS Access

proficient user of all the basic functions of the database.

? Java

Skills

Must have

? 5+ years experience in IT in the position of a technical analyst, data modeler or similar

? Basic understanding of fundamental coding concepts (local/global variables, conditions, operators, iterations/loops) in any programming language

? Hands-on experience in analyzing/modelling complex data structures and requirements

? Being familiar with XML data and schemas (XSD)

? Strong working experience in software engineering (SQL, MS-Access etc.)

Nice to have

Banking / Investment Banking domain experience
