Design Director

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Design Director for an agency client, dedicated to innovative brand-building. 

You’ll join the Creative team to lead creative vision, strategy and execution. This is a Fulltime opportunity. The role is located in New York City, and is Hybrid.

Design Director Responsibilities: 

• Guide and mentor the creative team, providing feedback to enhance skills.
• Collaborate with strategy, marketing, and production teams for cohesive brand messaging.
• Present design concepts to clients, explaining design choices.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
• Stay updated on design trends and technologies for innovative solutions.

Design Director Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
• 7+ years in design leadership, with a focus on branding and packaging.
• Strategic and creative problem-solving ability.
• Strong understanding of production processes and materials in branding/packaging.
• Proven success in developing design strategies and leading creative teams.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
