This role is a Digital Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) Manager at Microsoft, leading a team of CSAs to exceed business targets. Responsibilities include attracting, developing, and coaching a team (10+ employees), serving as a strategic partner to executive-level decision-makers, guiding customers through digital transformation, accelerating Azure projects, driving service consumption and upselling, accurately forecasting performance, and supporting customer change management. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of experience in technical architecture, consulting, design, implementation, or technical sales, along with 3+ years of people management and 2+ years of cloud technical leadership experience. The role is hybrid, allowing for up to 50% remote work.

Do you possess superior leadership, communications, and consultative capabilities?  Microsoft is seeking managers with a deep interest in cutting-edge technology to join the Customer Success CSA team as a Digital Cloud Solution Architect Manager (CSA) team lead. In this role, you will manage a team of highly talented and skilled CSAs, driving the day-to-day execution to exceed business performance targets and coaching team members. The Customer Success CSA team consists of highly capable salespeople that drive Microsoft wins on the latest cloud and modern development technologies.

 

You are a thought leader with the ability to hold senior level discussions. You are results-oriented, motivated by performance rewards for exceeding annual sales goals through strategic sales leadership and strong cross-business collaboration required. You will be responsible for customer relationship development experience (Consulting, Business Development) and generate trust, build alliances. Your primary responsibilities will be to engage with customers as the central point of contact for driving adoption and consumption of workloads across our latest cloud technologies.  This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales
    • OR Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms AND 5+ years experience in technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years people management experience.
  • 2+ years of Cloud technical leadership experience.
  • Business level fluency to read, write and speak English.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience in technical architect, consulting, design and implementation, and/or sales
    • OR equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Attract, develop, coach, and evaluate CSAs by setting a clear bar for excellence. Build a high performing team that will be diverse and inclusive with a typical team size of 10+ employees. Coaches team to plan portfolio growth and utilizes portfolio plans to build industry/team plan, leveraging own expertise and hands-on experiences.
  • Are a strategic partner to executive-level business and technical decision makers (e.g., C-level) to guide customers in defining and realizing their digital and business transformational targets. Leverages expertise in relationship building and influencing to mentor team in building strategic partnerships.
  • Coach and enable your team to accelerate Azure projects to production, including guidance on architectural design, technical recommendations, blocker escalations and technical resource orchestration. Lead team to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual team targets. Lead team to actively engage accounts to drive services consumption and up-sell and cross-sell based on strategic plans and needs.
  • Lead team to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual team targets and accurately forecast, assess risk, and identify exceptional performance plans in weekly deal and pipeline reviews with senior management.
  • Support and enables team to drive customer change and optimization of change management by applying deep knowledge of change management principles, creating influence strategies with senior decision makers to scale change across organizational boundaries, and articulating alignment between customer culture and digital transformation.
