The role of a Procurement Director is pivotal in ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services that are essential for an organization's operations. This high-level position demands strategic planning, exceptional management skills, responsible to end-to-end procurement process and a thorough understanding of market dynamics. Those who excel in this role possess a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and technical acumen that drives continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is a Hybrid position is based in the Newton, MA office and reports to the Global Procurement Director.

Below is an overview of the responsibilities, skills, and qualifications required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services. This involves negotiating contracts, evaluating supplier performance, and managing disputes.
  • Promote innovation in procurement processes by leveraging AI, new technologies, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead and mentor the US based procurement team, fostering a collaborative environment and encouraging professional development. This includes setting performance goals, conducting reviews, and providing training.
  • Enhancing end to end procurement services and ensuring we provide top-notch support to our stakeholders
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives. This includes analyzing market trends, assessing risks, and identifying opportunities for cost-saving.
  • Oversee the department's budget, ensuring that expenditures are within allocated limits and identifying areas for financial efficiency.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant, regulations, and company policies. This involves conducting audits and implementing best practices.
  • Generate detailed reports on procurement activities, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas that require attention.

Qualifications
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management - CPSM) are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Technology procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Preference for experience with marketing procurement
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the industry in which the company operates, including market dynamics and key suppliers.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with procurement regulations, and standards.
  • Professionalism: High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct

The salary range for this position is $152,000 – $210,000/year, plus commissions or discretionary bonus, which will be based on the employee’s performance. Base pay may also vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
