This role will own the creative and operational direction of the video ecosystem, driving growth in revenue, engagement, and audience development. The Director will shape how consumers and retail partners experience RetailMeNot across social, web, and syndication. Responsibilities include setting the video content strategy, overseeing video development across various touchpoints (short-form, branded series, site video), leading a team of video professionals, and developing a video content roadmap aligned with business goals. Collaboration with cross-functional leaders and championing a social-first creative culture are key.
Must have:
  • 8-12+ years in video content/digital storytelling
  • Fluency in platform-native video formats (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
  • Experience leading creative teams
  • Track record of producing engaging/monetized video

Director of Video and Content

We are currently looking for a Director of Video and Content to add to our dynamic team. 

 

About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and creatively driven Director of Video and Content to lead the next chapter of Ziff Davis Shopping’s video evolution. You’ll own the creative and operational direction of our video ecosystem — from short-form, platform-native storytelling to branded partner integrations — and drive meaningful growth across revenue, engagement, and audience development.
This role is the creative heartbeat of our video-forward brand, responsible for shaping how our consumers and retail partners experience RetailMeNot across social, web, and syndication. As a senior leader on the brand marketing team, you will partner with cross-functional leaders across Sales, Performance Marketing, Product, and Branded Content to deliver high-impact campaigns and always-on video that builds both equity and performance.

What You’ll Do:
  • Set and own the end-to-end vision for our video content strategy — spanning branded video, editorial franchises, app campaigns, loyalty programs, and always-on social
  • Oversee video development across all marketing touchpoints: short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), branded series, site/syndicated video content, and campaign storytelling
  • Lead a high-performing team of video producers, editors, on-camera hosts, and hybrid content creators
  • Develop and maintain a video content roadmap that aligns to brand campaigns, CPV monetization goals, affiliate growth, and user acquisition
  • Collaborate deeply with the Director of Social and Director of Branded Content to align on pitch strategy, production capabilities, and content distribution
  • Champion a social-first creative culture within the brand team — ensuring our content reflects platform trends, audience insights, and editorial value
  • Serve as the face of video strategy internally and externally — evangelizing our value proposition to sales partners, leadership, and key retailers

 

Qualifications:
  • 8–12+ years leading video content, digital storytelling, or branded production studios in a media, consumer, or affiliate/ecommerce company
  • Deep fluency in platform-native video formats and tone (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts) and experience leading creative teams across these platforms
  • Track record of producing and managing both organic and monetized video that drives measurable engagement or revenue
  • Strong creative vision paired with operational and business acumen — you understand how content converts
  • Experience managing on-camera talent and creator networks a plus
  • Comfort leading through collaboration in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
  • Passion for the retail, CPG, or savings/commerce space preferred
