Position Summary
The Field Safety Manager for Buckman North America is focused on safety initiatives that influence clients and our Field Associates. This position will emphasize face-to-face time with our Field Sales Team to ensure alignment between Buckman and Customer location safety policies and practices. The Field Safety Manager is also responsible for the implementation of an effective safe driving program, ensuring equipment safety standardization, and providing observation feedback on safe behaviors in an industrial setting.


Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate and improve the health, and safety training programs to support field operations
  • Ensure compliance to the Product Stewardship and application registration requirements
  • Effectively manage and improve the risk management process to ensure effective mitigation of risk in field sales operations
  • Coordinate and maintain health and safety customer requirements and field support data systems
  • Manage and enhance incident and near miss reporting systems for NA field sales

 

Other Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

  • Know Buckman chemistry, the associated, chemical hazards, and the necessary
  • Needs to have very good understanding of OSHA regulations, process safety and speak to basic elements of a process safety program
  • Fully understand and support our sales force activities at customer locations
  • Understand Buckman applications and how they support our customer’s needs with a deeper recognition of the risks presented by these applications and how to mitigate them

 

Essential Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
  • 4-10 years related experience and/or training
  • Chemical manufacturing and field service safety experience is preferred.
