Job Description

As a Field Sales Representative for Google Cloud's Oil and Gas sector, you'll leverage existing relationships and build new ones, acting as a trusted business partner. You'll promote Google Cloud's innovative products to improve organizational productivity and collaboration. Responsibilities include building enterprise customer relationships, leading account strategy for business growth, understanding account technology footprints and strategic plans, managing multiple opportunities through the entire sales cycle, working with cross-functional teams, and delivering complex business agreements. You'll work closely with Customer Engineers and Google Partners to optimize results and uncover new opportunities. This role requires a deep understanding of the Oil and Gas industry and experience selling enterprise software solutions.
Must have:
  • 10+ years Oil & Gas enterprise sales experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • B2B software sales/business development experience
  • Lead account strategy & business growth
  • Manage multiple sales opportunities
  • Deliver complex business agreements
Good to have:
  • Experience with infrastructure software, databases, analytics
  • Partner management on complex projects
  • Commercial & legal negotiation experience
  • C-level executive presentation experience
  • Software estate inventory, migration plan definition

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas enterprise sales.
  • Experience in a technology related Sales or business development role at a Business-to-Business software company.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience promoting infrastructure software, databases, analytic tools, or applications software.
  • Experience working with and managing partners on complex implementation projects, including global system integrators and packaged software vendors.
  • Experience in commercial and legal negotiations, working with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives.
  • Ability to work with sales engineers and customer’s technical leads to inventory existing software estate, define migration plans, and build business cases for migrations.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with enterprise customers, influence strategic direction and serve as a business partner.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, work collaboratively with Customer Engineers and Google Partners to optimize business results in the territory and open up opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
  • Understand the technology footprint, strategic growth plans, business drivers, and technology strategy of assigned accounts.
  • Manage multiple opportunities through the entire business cycle simultaneously, work with cross-functional teams and serve as the primary customer contact for all business/adoption related activities, including the development of strategic agreements.
  • Deliver complex business agreements through business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
