The Financial Services Account Manager at Tesla will support sales and services in Australia & New Zealand. Responsibilities include designing and developing compliant financial services and insurance solutions, working with partners and internal stakeholders, identifying new opportunities, managing multiple projects, and ensuring smooth business operations. The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in Excel and data analytics. The successful candidate will also monitor partner performance, coordinate integration projects, and contribute to training programs, while ensuring compliance with regulations. This role demands a highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented individual capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What to Expect

The Financial Services Account Manager will be focused on supporting Tesla’s sales and services activities across Australia & New Zealand.  This role includes product design and development, as well as effective execution of compliant financial services and insurance solutions working closely with finance and insurance partners while coordinating with internal stakeholders. The role will require candidates to be creative and possess a strong business acumen needed to be able to identify new opportunities in Financial Services and Insurance It is crucial for the candidate to be highly organized and confident in managing several projects within set deadlines, as well as maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 

What You’ll Do
  • Identify, negotiate, develop, and execute innovative solutions for products, pricing and distribution by our partners to support sales or marketing initiatives and drive business growth. 
  • Ensuring day-to-day business operations between internal and external stakeholders are aligned to achieve business objectives.
  • Support in-market teams to eliminate potential roadblocks and leverage opportunities for integrated financial services and insurance solutions to drive business growth.
  • Setup and implement KPIs to effectively measure and monitor partners’ performance to support decision-making and performance enhancement.
  • Coordinate with IT and operations on integration projects to deliver innovative customer service solutions. Participating in testing new and updated system logic and procedures.
  • Investigating system discrepancies quickly and finalising solutions
  • Understanding and awareness of international and local financial and business market environments
  • Awareness on local regulations and laws around the financial and insurance industry
  • Support the development of integrated Financial Services and Insurance training programs.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on partners’ performance through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Take responsibility to ensure that the highest standards of compliance, including regulatory and business conduct.
  • Articulating specific ideas on how to further refine systems or processes
  • Participating in testing new and updated system logic and procedures
What You’ll Bring
  • 4 + years of experience in the Financial Services or Insurance industry.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment or experience working in the auto-industry a plus.
  • Proven track record in partnership and project management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as a strong negotiator
  • Demonstrated aptitude in problem-solving and data analytics, with advanced proficiency in Excel. Proficiency in SQL a plus
  • Highly organized individual with attention to detail and the flexibility to adapt to change
  • A self-starter and proactive individual able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player who is able to work and collaborate with multiple functions across the organization.
  • Results-orientated and dependable individual who enjoys the challenges of a rapidly evolving global organization
  • Willingness to travel Interstate & to New Zealand 
Other Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Possess the highest level of integrity and accountability
