Job Description

The Director of Finance at Hasbro's Global Toy, Licensing, and Entertainment (TLE) team will be a key leader, driving financial excellence and strategic growth. Responsibilities include developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgets, preparing financial reports and analyses, conducting cost management and risk assessments, and leading a finance team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA or CPA preferred), 10+ years of progressive finance experience (5+ years in leadership), strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in financial software and Excel. This role requires strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious individual to join the Global Toy, Licensing, and Entertainment (TLE) team as a Director of Finance. A day in the life of a Director Finance:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement strategies aligned with long-term goals. Collaborate and construct financial budgets/plans that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Budget Management: Coordinate and lead budgets, monitor performance, address variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Cost Management: Find opportunities to save costs, manage expenses, and improve efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensure compliance, and safeguard assets.
  • Leadership: Mentor and lead a finance team, encouraging a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Operational Improvement: Drive improvement in processes and systems.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with 5+ years in a leadership position and recent people manager experience.
  • Strong financial acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting Brand, Design, and Development teams is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a dedication to encouraging an inclusive and collaborative team culture as well as develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, as well as advanced Excel skills.

 

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $145,600
  • Pay Range End: $218,400
