As a Game Designer at Lighthouse Games, you will play a fundamental role in shaping the future of our exciting project. We are seeking a creative and analytical thinker who can help design engaging gameplay experiences that captivate our audience.
Your responsibilities will include crafting game mechanics, designing features, and collaborating closely with artists and developers to create a seamless experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative gameplay systems and mechanics to enhance player engagement and enjoyment.
- Design and prototype game areas and gameplay boundaries.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that game design is cohesive and integrated within the overall project.
- Conduct playtesting sessions and analyse player feedback for continuous improvement of game features.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate fresh ideas into game design.
Requirements
- Experience in game design with a focus on AAA titles.
- A strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
- Proficient in design documentation and the ability to create clear and concise design specs.
- Strong understanding of gameplay balance, level design, and player experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate ideas.
- Passion for video games and a solid understanding of the gaming industry.
