Role: Junior Motion Designer and Video Editor

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home and our office.
Typically, employees are expected to work 2 days in the office per week.

The role
We’re looking for a creative, proactive and enthusiastic Junior Motion Designer and Video Editor to join our growing Creative team at QS. You will be responsible for producing high-quality animation/video content for our website and social media that communicate our brand values and personality, and appeal to our target audiences.
You’ll be working within the Creative team alongside the Content and Marketing teams to review audio and visual footage, edit clips into cohesive content, as well as creating short animations using our character library.
Role and responsibilities
• Working collaboratively with our global Creative team.
• Taking an active role in Creative Critique sessions to provide and receive constructive feedback from team members and adapt projects accordingly.
• Working strategically with Marketing, Content, and Creative peers and stakeholders in an open and collaborative environment.
• Expanding on existing branding for refresh and evolution while suggesting innovative motion design ideas.
• Sharing inspirational content examples and keeping up with trends.
• Generating new and exciting ideas for video and animation.
• Developing easy-to-use templates for efficiency and consistency across all video and motion content.
• Prioritising tasks based on business strategy and the potential impact of projects. Maintaining, organising, and packaging video project files.
• Communicating clearly with stakeholders, building positive relationships, and managing expectations effectively.
• Maintaining an efficient archiving system for video and animation content.
Key skills and experience
• Proficiency in Adobe suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Experience creating social media content for a variety of platforms
• Storyboarding/concept creation for stakeholder approval.
• Confidence and experience in having creative input in design and strategy
• Excellent time management skills and finding efficiencies in workflow, including using technologies like AI and platforms for automation
• Willingness to learn and motivation for development
• A diverse portfolio demonstrating skills in motion design, video editing and audio editing
• Experience in Click Up (or similar task management system)
• Experience liaising with freelancers/agencies a plus
• Character animation and rigging
• Knowledge and basic use of Expressions a plus
• Ability to film a plus
