Job Description

The Manager of Occupational Health Services at Disney's Global Emergency Preparedness and Response (GERP) team will strategically manage the Burbank Studio Medical Clinic's operational, clinical, and educational functions. Responsibilities include supervising union nurses (Local 80), managing their schedules and timecards, calculating chargebacks, and assigning nurses for premieres. Collaboration with various corporate partners is essential. The role demands ensuring adherence to medical/industry standards, maintaining staff skills, and supporting the Director, Global Medical Operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in occupational health, strong clinical supervision skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Must have:
  • 3+ years Occupational Health/Public Health
  • 5+ years supervisory/management experience
  • Clinical supervision/management skills
  • Excellent communication & diplomacy
  • RN license in California
  • CPR/BLS certification
Good to have:
  • Union workforce management experience
  • 2-5 years ER/Critical Care nursing
  • COHN certification
  • Master's Degree in Nursing

As a Manager in Occupational Health Services you will…

  • Be responsible for the strategic operational, clinical, and medical educational functions of the Studio Medical Clinic in Burbank, CA.
  • Implement programs that facilitate the development and management of medical staff
  • Functions independently and supervises clinical staff of Union nurses ( Local 80 )
  • Manages the scheduling of the Union Nurses and processes time cards each week
  • Calculates Stages chargebacks for the Union Nurses’ time
  • Assigns a nurse to cover Premieres as requested
  • Collaborates and supports other corporate partners (Production, Corporate, Marvel, ESPN, for example) to achieve the goals and objectives of the work area
  • Maintains skills of the staff to initiate and carry out clinical, procedural, and ethical discourse
  • Ensures that all policies/procedures are current and aligned with the highest medical/industry standards
  • Administratively supports the Director, Global Medical Operations
  • Demonstrates commitment to the goals set within the Global Crisis Management Department

What you will need to succeed:

  • +3 years of Occupational Health or Public Health field
  • +5  Years as supervisor/manager in related field
  • Clinical supervision or management skills
  • Excellent personal communication and diplomacy skills
  • Solid computer, social media and presentation skills
  • Medical professional with the ability to manage sensitive and/or complex situations
  • RN license in State of California
  • CPR/BLS certification

It Would be a plus if you had these skills…

  • Experience managing or working with a Union work force
  • 2-5 years nursing experience in Emergency medicine or Critical Care
  • COHN
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing

The hiring range for this position in California is $78,200.00 - $104,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
