Job Description

The Sportsbook Retention and Operations team is responsible for Player Engagement, Retention, Promotions, and Product Marketing efforts across the Sportsbook platform in the US and Canada. The role involves leading a team, collaborating with other marketing teams, developing promotional calendars, monitoring campaign performance, and leveraging partnerships to drive customer engagement. The candidate will also be responsible for hiring, coaching, developing, and mentoring team members to ensure best practices are incorporated within the team.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in email and mobile marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in sportsbook/casino marketing promotions
  • 2+ years of experience managing people
  • Demonstrate data analysis abilities
  • Possess understanding of sportsbetting & promotions
  • Have proven experience with segmentation
  • Show high Excel Proficiency

Well, what about the team? 

The Sportsbook Retention and Operations team is responsible for all aspects of our Player Engagement, Retention, Promotions and Product Marketing efforts across our Sports focused proposition for those US and Canadian jurisdictions where we currently have and will have Bally Bet. Ultimately the aim of the team is to make our Sportsbook across the US and Canada the best place for players to play. This role will lead a team of Marketing team members that will drive our Player Engagement and Retention agenda. 

So, what will you be doing?

  • Leading a team that is responsible for Player Engagement and Retention programs across our Sports vertical
  • Working closely with other Sports marketing teams including Content Operations, Brand to understand the customer and collaborating on opportunities to engage our players across all the jurisdictions that Bally Bet operates in
  • Collaborating with other Marketing teams and stakeholders to develop monthly promotional calendars, tentpole campaign plans and budgets based on commercial priorities and consumer insights
  • Monitoring and reporting on Campaign performance working closely with the analytics team to understand promotional impact on customer value across all Lifecycle and Value tiers
  • Becoming a team of experts with in-depth knowledge of our MarTech stack and Retention tooling to ensure we are fully leveraging our Partnership with White Hat and Kambi to drive customer engagement in our Sportsbook product
  • Planning and owning the creation of multi-channel marketing campaigns working with Product, Design, teams and other stakeholders to ensure a disciplined approach to segmentation, rewards and test/learn and optimise mind-set
  • Championing our products, staying on top of industry trends, innovations and regulations 
  • Hiring, coaching, developing and mentoring team members to ensure best practices become incorporated within the team
  • Working with peers within and across the broader Marketing and Operations teams to ensure collaboration and best practice sharing

And what are we looking for?

  • Have 5+ years of experience in email and mobile marketing, with expertise in creating and managing marketing campaigns from start to finish
  • Have 5+ years of experience in sportsbook/casino marketing promotions 
  • Have 2+ years of experience managing people
  • Demonstrate data analysis abilities (analyze large data sets).
  • Possess understanding of sportsbetting & promotions
  • Have proven experience with segmentation
  • Show high Excel Proficiency (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup’s, SUM/Count/Min/Max Functions, sumif/countif)
  • Display Tableau knowledge (good to have)
