Job Description

The Manager - US Accounts is responsible for partnership and relationship management with US stakeholders, driving a culture of process excellence, and managing a high-performing team. They will oversee US Accounting, Statutory Compliance, and Corporate Tax, mentor team members, and manage the finance team for accurate financial reporting. The role involves partnering with operational leaders, managing process improvements, establishing KPIs, maintaining operating discipline, driving process automation, and supporting audits. They will also need to interpret data and provide insights, resolve service disputes, and ensure adherence to company policies. The candidate will need to seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance (B.com, CA/CMA Intermediate).
  • Strong presentation and advanced excel skills.
  • 15+ years’ experience managing GL/R2R processes and teams.
  • Experience in GCC/3rd Party is mandatory.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle Fusion Cloud and Financial Analytics Warehouse (FAW) preferred.

Job Description:

  • Partnership and relationship management with US stakeholders.
  • Driving and creating a culture of process excellence and constantly moving towards a best-in-class Finance shared services team.
  • Help build and manage a high performing team that can be scaled to support organic and acquisition growth.
  • Manage process transitions and support in service delivery of US Accounting, Statutory Compliance and Corporate Tax.
  • Mentoring team members and growing 2nd line leaders.
  • Manage the finance team to support standard month-end close, complete and accurate reporting of financial information, sub-ledger and GL reconciliation, exception management.
  • Function as a business partner to operational leaders, including Sourcing/Purchasing, Treasury, General Ledger and other key stakeholders across the Company.
  • Manage process improvements i.e., optimize the end-to-end process.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure shared services performance and use them as a basis for identifying and managing end-to-end process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintaining operating discipline in terms of capacity utilization, SLA adherence and reporting, KPI tracking and reporting, etc.
  • Help drive use of process automation. Maintain and expand reporting and analytics capabilities using tools such as Oracle Financial Data Intelligence (FDI) etc.
  • Maintain controls and adherence to policy and support various internal and external audits
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year end reporting, analytics and audits.
  • Ensure proper SOD in place for process control.
  • Ensure teams are cross trained in process and Business Continuity Plan in place.
  • Maintain and interpret data and provide insights.
  • Resolve service disputes.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications and other requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance B.com, CA/CMA Intermediate).
  • Strong presentation and advanced excel skills.
  • 15+ years’ experience managing GL/R2R processes and teams.
  • Experience in GCC/3rd Party is mandatory.
  • Has experience in transitioning work from other countries to India.
  • Experience in managing the entire R2R processes (including reporting, statutory audit and filings).
  • Should be a self-starter, collaborative and have the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle Fusion Cloud and Financial Analytics Warehouse (FAW) preferred.
  • Strong functional systems and business process acumen.
  • Strong proficiency in enforcing financial and accounting controls.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Curiosity and a passion for process improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
