Lenovo is seeking a highly skilled Manager to lead the firmwaredevelopment effort for the BMC – XClarity Controller (XCC) - for our High End servers, Edge Servers, AI Servers, and Hyperscale Servers..
As the Manager for XCC Firmware Development, you will be responsible for managing and leading a firmware team dedicated to developing platform unique firmware features across our Server product line. You will work closely with Worldwide Core Firmware, Hardware, Thermal, Power, I/O, and Product Assurance teams to deliver production firmware on schedule and with quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement platform unique firmware features for XCC for Lenovo Servers working closely with various stake holders and meeting the various platform release and firmware release schedules.
- Total Experience required 11+Years
- Manage small engineering groups to address firmware infrastructure, sustaining, and Customer Support.
- Attract, develop, and retain a high skilled team of firmware development engineers.
Skills
- Firmware/embedded system development experience preferably for Servers
- Knowledge on Intel/AMD processors and other hardware is highly desirable.
- 3+ years of project and people management experience and solid product delivery record – within a product development organization preferred.
- Should be well versed on Firmware development practices.
- Strong track record of building, developing and retaining high performing teams.
- Knowledge of product planning, System Development, Supply Chain etc. is a plus.
- Ability to work cross functionally across multiple organizations.
- Excellent customer and stake holder communication and presentation skills
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Electronics, computer science, or equivalent.
