This role requires an experienced tester, with knowledge of end-to-end testing life cycle in agile software development and credit origination, measurement, and monitoring business knowledge. The candidate shall be required to quickly understand the as-is and to-be model.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for carrying out effective and accurate testing in line with the project schedule. You may be required to work across various projects within the program. You should have an understanding of a wide range of banking book products and an appreciation of counterparty credit processes.
Provide regular and accurate test status to the project lead/manager.
Assist project lead manager in coordinating user participation.
Create and maintain up-to-date test libraries/test cases.
Work closely with business analysts and users to understand the functional and non-functional requirements.
Design and define high-quality test scenarios based on requirements.
Create and review test data for completeness and coverage.
Maintain test traceability matrix.
Execute and record test results.
Verify test execution quality.
Raise defects, issues and roadblocks.
Perform root cause analysis of issues to assist in determining the source of problems.
Utilize testing tools (HP QC etc..) to categorize and track issues raised during test cycle.
Constantly seeking to improve the testing processes.
Assist test lead/manager to prepare test summary report.
Must have
At least 6 years of experience as a Manual Tester with SQL expertise.
Understand the latest test methodologies & approaches and be familiar with services virtualization.
Experience in using test tools (HP QC etc..) for defect tracking, test automation, and test data management.
Knowledge of SQL is a must.
Knowledge of all phases of IT system development and implementation life cycle is preferable.
Good understanding of the banking domain (specific domain: credit process).
Able to operate independently and make sound decisions, but enjoys working in teams.
Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture outlook.
