Netflix seeks a creative and strategic Marketing Manager for its DACH region (primarily Germany). Responsibilities include developing and executing 360° marketing campaigns, launching local branded titles, collaborating with agencies and internal teams, and leading cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of marketing experience in DACH, a proven track record of successful campaigns, and strong leadership skills. They should be fluent in German and English, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and be passionate about Netflix content.

As a Marketing Manager, you are passionate about absorbing business context and using that to make intelligent decisions that benefit the long-term value of the brand. In this position, you will be crafting and executing digital, social, and offline campaigns and activations for our DACH audiences, balancing retention (Members) and Acquisition (Non-Members). The successful candidate will be comfortable taking the lead on marketing campaigns, yet act selfless and be inclusive. 

 

The best candidate for the role is someone who already lives and breathes our content and talks naturally and passionately about our series, films, and documentaries. You will create campaigns that drive conversations and resonate authentically with local audiences in the DACH region and set new standards for entertainment marketing. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, socializing easily in a team with lots of cross-functional partnerships. You are an unusually responsible professional that will thrive in our unique of freedom and people over process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own regional campaigns across DACH markets (Prio: Germany) to drive business growth, brand awareness & positive perception and fandom in DACH.

  • Position & launch Netflix local branded titles to make them locally relevant and loved.

  • Partner with local agencies and internal Netflix teams to develop integrated communication to create impact for our Titles and Brand, incl. local extensions and adaptations of global campaigns with creative and impactful media planning, working on special projects (stunts, content, digital innovation) that increase the relevance of Netflix in DACH

  • Lead fast-moving cross-functional teams towards a seamless and integrated marketing campaigns

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in Marketing, Advertising 

  • Experience in developing 360° marketing campaigns in DACH markets (Prio: Germany) from scratch including strategic positioning, audience identification, media strategy and launch roadmaps.

  • Proven record of enabling and inspiring creative excellence.

  • A curious creative and strategic mind, with an experience in disruptive campaigns that generate (social) buzz across different audiences in DACH markets.

  • Ability to autonomously lead and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously. 

  • Capacity to continuously provide and receive constructive, actionable feedback to and from colleagues.

  • You are a cultural ambassador, both advocating the local cultures existing within the DACH region as well as being excited to become a true Netflix culture example.

  • Concise and clear communicator with written and oral communication skills in English. Fluency in German (written and verbal) is required.

  • Berlin based or willing to relocate to Berlin.
