As an Operations Support Manager at Google, you will leverage your security management expertise to coordinate and support risk-based mitigation services for Alphabet Leadership. You will build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, government agencies, and third-party vendors to manage crisis communications. You will also develop written materials and content to relay critical information, conduct security advances, facilitate personal security vulnerability assessments, ensure quality control, and track program performance. This role demands a strong understanding of security protocols, risk assessment, and crisis management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military with executive/dignitary protection responsibilities
- Tactical/Operational experience in executive/dignitary protection on a global level
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel significantly
- Valid driver's license, pass pre-employment testing and clear Google security background checks
Good to have:
- Certification in LEOSA (Law Enforcement Officer's Safety Act)
- Experience supporting strategic response plans
- Experience in investigating intelligence data related to personal protection, travel, and events
- Ability to apply risk mitigation tools based on intelligence data
- Valid US driver's license, pass pre-employment and unscheduled drug testing
- Ability to operate effectively in fluid environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with security leaders

Job Details

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience supporting strategic response plans.
- Experience in investigating intelligence data related to personal protection, travel and events and appropriately apply risk mitigation tools based on the data.
- Ability to maintain valid U.S. driver’s license, pass pre-employment and unscheduled drug testing during employment.
- Ability to operate effectively in fluid and constantly changing environments.
- Excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with leaders from the security teams.

In this role, you will use your expertise in security management to coordinate and support risk based mitigation services for Alphabet Leadership. In addition, you will be expected to develop and maintain working relationships with all internal stakeholders, administrative staff, government agencies, and third-party vendors to manage crisis communications and develop written materials and content to efficiently relay critical information to all stakeholders, conduct security advances and facilitate protective services, facilitate personal security vulnerability assessments and ensure quality control of all services rendered while tracking program performance.

As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$221,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary security advisor for designated portfolios of clients, tailoring guidance to their unique needs and concerns. Lead executive protection details as necessary, ensuring the comprehensive safety and security of designated clients in all situations and locations.
- Collaborate with the internal and external stakeholders to support security measures and response capabilities. Develop partnerships and implement security strategies.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring seamless support for executive protection, travel, events and any emergent security issues.
- Analyze comprehensive security assessments and deliver briefings to the client, focusing on identified vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Enhance operational aspects of the program, including: quality control, compliance, communication systems, technical innovations, logistics and transportation, asset tracking, metrics and support accountability.
