Job Description

The People Partner, Cloud Technology role at Google involves partnering with business leaders to build their organizations and ensure data-driven people decisions. Responsibilities include preparing teams for change, communicating people strategies, translating company OKRs into actionable plans, identifying talent gaps, supporting talent selection and development, and promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment. This role requires 12+ years of HR experience, expertise in organizational effectiveness, and a strong understanding of Cloud Technology. The ideal candidate will be adept at communication, consensus-building, and driving organizational health improvements.
Must have:
  • 12+ years HR experience
  • Organizational effectiveness expertise
  • Experience in workforce planning and organizational design
  • Cloud Technology business support (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and consensus-building skills
Good to have:
  • Understanding of continuous improvement in HR/Talent policies
  • Experience in supporting Cloud Technology business

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience as an HR business partner or HR generalist supporting leaders at global companies.
  • Experience in organizational effectiveness, including workforce planning and organizational design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in supporting Cloud Technology business.
  • Understanding of current and future processes needed to pursue continuous improvement in HR and Talent policies and practices.
  • Ability to garner consensus from internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, surrounding new ideas and strategies.
  • Ability to communicate across audiences, situations, and contexts in both a written and verbal format.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare leaders and teams to embrace organizational change, shaping and executing comprehensive people plans. 
  • Manage clear communication of people strategies and implement organizational changes to achieve desired business goals. 
  • Translate company-wide Objectives and Key Results (OKR) into actionable plans tailored to the specific needs of the Cloud technology business, providing feedback to identify potential gaps. 
  • Identify talent gaps, organizational shortcomings, and people needs that could hinder business strategy execution; use this analysis to guide resourcing and development initiatives. 
  • Support the selection and development of talent, and actively drive organizational health improvements through trend monitoring, cultural analysis, and promotion of a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
