Role Purpose
The Planning Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the supply of everyday consumables and the flow of goods through the fulfilment centre. This includes providing the prioritization of inbound inventory, distributing orders in accordance with business and customer requirements, along with material requirements coordination. The Planning Coordinator will also provide support for the Funko UK EMEA business.
What You’ll Do:
- Organise workflow into the fulfilment centre to ensure all customers receive full, accurate & on time orders.
- Schedule the supply of materials / components to meet production requirements and minimum safety levels.
- Provide information to the logistics team for pre-booking of shipments.
- Work cross-functionally with the various departments and teams to assure the successful on-time fulfilment of orders.
- Resolve short picks and orders lines below agreed minimum fulfilment quantities by coordinating order cleanse and resolution with Customer Service, Logistics and Sales Managers.
- Proactively reports on upstream blockers to order flow.
- Cross functional collaboration on short picks from the warehouse.
- Manage procurement and system schedules for material to meet VAS requirements.
- Maintain master data in the system, updating lead times and any specific item changes as required.
- Ensure full order delivery for all special materials – escalate where required.
- Responsible for raising PO’s for specific items.
- Work cross functionally with the warehouse ensuring inventory counts are maintaining stock minimum and maximum
- levels where appropriate on material (MRP).
- Work cross functionally with marketing and sales for VAS specific packaging – FSDU’s and labels.
Waving of work
- Ensure orders are fully waved into the warehouse in line with the agreed and aligned schedule in time to support order collections.
- Proactively work with the warehouse to provide visibility on workload.
- Monitor and escalate waves that fail, working with the DC to resolve in a timely manner.
- Ensure work for 3PL’s is submitted through EDI without failure.
- Manage KPI’s on work submission / schedule adherence.
- Measure DC performance to schedule.
- Escalate blockers on waving and work with Operations to resolve.
Scheduling
- Responsible for building and maintaining the 14-day schedule for the warehouse.
- Maintain short-term production planning / scheduling into the DC by influencing Logistics load creation and booking timelines.
- Utilising the capacity matrix from Operations, advising on peaks and troughs within the 14-day schedule and manage DC
- short-term capacity to meet customer requirements.
- Schedule accuracy and capacity utilisation KPI management.
- Working closely with the Team Leader and Planning Manager for risks and opportunities within the 14-day schedule.
- Responsible for managing orders within the OTM, including cancellations and changes to orders already waved.
- Working closely with the Team Leader and Sales with regards to expected replenishment orders dropping into the OTM.
- Management of last-minute amendments to orders (e.g., quantity or address changes) or cancellation of orders in OTM.
- Collaborate with Sales to identify opportunities to pull forward orders
What You’ll Bring:
- Passionate about the customer experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 packages Excel and ideally ERP / MRP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills, with experience of producing timely and accurate reports to internal key stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate a ‘team player’ ethic as well as being highly organised.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise.
- Ability to work with confidential information and remain discreet at all times.
- Good relationship builder with internal and external stakeholders.
