The School of Art at UNC Greensboro welcomes applications for a full-time, two-year Post-MFA Fellowship in Interactive Media beginning Fall 2024. We seek to diversify our faculty by inviting applications from committed teachers who are actively engaged in advancing equity and inclusion in their classrooms.
With this position, the School of Art seeks to expand a diverse and competitive emerging Animation program at the undergraduate level that is artistically rigorous, promotes next generation storytellers, and prepares students for professional success. Within the School of Art the successful candidate will 1) contribute to curricular development in collaboration with School of Art colleagues, 2) actively mentor students in the Animation program, 3) teach in-person courses in interactive media, and related areas such as 3D modeling and game design, and 4) have a prior knowledge of Unreal Engine. The selected candidate will be expected to integrate Unreal Engine into at least their teaching, thus enriching UNCG’s engagement with both academia and industry. An ideal candidate will have teaching experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Animation, Interactive Media, Visual Art, Media Studies, Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field; OR an equivalent record of professional experience in the field and at least one notable professional achievement (Licenses and certifications, documented excellence in teaching, honors or awards, publications, presented papers, juried art activities/screenings, significant successful grants, etc.)
• Evidence of teaching experience (courses, workshops, preferred; however, candidates with comparable, transferable skills and a dedicated interest in developing and establishing themselves as teachers are also encouraged to apply
•Experience working with Unreal Engine
