Hybrid role 2 days in office per week - Bay Area
Responsibilities:
Provide QA Leadership through driving best practices, Automation Strategizing, Enabling Developers to build with quality, and challenging the status quo.
Develop Software Quality Assurance (SQA) test plan, Test case preparation; Test Objectives; Test Strategy; Test types; Testing tools, Test Environment, Root cause analysis.
Translate customer requirements into test strategy.
Ensure that the test cases cover all the test scenarios (E.g., for functionality, performance, security, integration, data migration and accessibility) for the product/solution requirements.
Execution of test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire product.
Drive creation of scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery).
Provides solutions for coding errors by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms; developing unit testing plans to test code; developing testing requirements based on code functionality; analyzing testing results to determine needed fixes; querying application logs and databases and checking configuration files to troubleshoot issues encountered during testing; resolving minor code errors; and recommending code fixes or solutions for testing errors.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Collaborate with the QA organization on continuous improvement of the automation framework via bug fixes and new feature requests.
Mentor and lead mid-level and junior QA automation engineers on your team on automation best practices and processes
Working closely with Development, Business Analysts and the Product Owners to ensure project success.
A lot About You:
7+ years of combined experience in Web Automation Frameworks.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software testing, knowledge of the software development life cycle and Agile methodology like Scrum/Kanban
Strong experience with Automation Testing Frameworks such as Selenium Webdriver, Appium.
Strong technical competency in Javascript.
Senior SQL Level: able to create SQL queries and have advanced Database Experience
Experience testing and building test automation for APIs, Integration testing and solid understanding of REST API's
Experience in building UI and Native App Test Automation Frameworks and libraries
Strong knowledge of source control tools, like GIT or GITHub
Hands on experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration Tools (e.g. TFS, Jenkins)
Experience in Postman, Eclipse, Maven, TestNG or respective open source or similar tools are preferred.
Understanding of QA practices (white and black box testing, risk based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices)
Experience with one or more Test Case Management Tools (Rally, Quality Center/ALM, TestRail, etc.)
Proficient in using JIRA to log defects, develop test scenarios, execution and create status reports/dashboards
Shall be able to set up the test bed, test environment, test data and execution setup.
Proficient in performing the cross browser testing using any cross browser tool like Browser stack or saucelabs for Local and Other environments
Proficiency in participating in Root Cause Analysis sessions to identify and address underlying issues
Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with various types of testing, including smoke, white box, black box, integration, end-to-end, regression, and system testing

The compensation for this position ranges from $120,750.00 - $283,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
