The Procurement Manager Service Delivery for the FIFA World Cup 26™ will manage the end-to-end IT procurement process, from planning and sourcing to contracting and delivery. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to define IT requirements, negotiating contracts, overseeing inventory and maintenance of IT equipment, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. The role demands strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, along with experience in IT procurement, contract management, and project management within the sports or events industry. The position requires extensive travel and flexible hours during the event.

Reporting to the IT Director of Premiere Events, the IT Procurement & Inventory Manager plays a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT solutions and services for a large-scale sports event program. The IT Procurement & Inventory Manager is responsible for managing the procurement process, contracts, and vendor relationships for all IT-related goods and services, including hardware, software, cloud, network, security, and communication technologies. The IT Procurement & Inventory Manager works closely with the IT Director, the IT team, the business stakeholders, and the event organizers to understand the IT requirements, specifications, and budget for the event program, and to source, negotiate, and procure the best IT solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the event.

The IT Procurement & Inventory Manager oversees the inventory, distribution, installation, and maintenance of the IT equipment and assets, ensuring compliance with the relevant standards and regulations. The IT Procurement & Inventory Manager must have a strong background in IT procurement, inventory management, contract management, vendor management, and project management, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. The IT Procurement & Inventory Manager must also be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and to travel extensively and work flexible hours during the event period.

  • Manage the end-to-end IT procurement process for the event program, from planning and sourcing to contracting and delivery.

  • Collaborate with the IT Director, the IT team, the business stakeholders, and the event organizers to understand the IT requirements, specifications, and budget for the event program, and to align the IT procurement strategy with the IT and business objectives.

  • Negotiate and procure the best IT solutions and services that meet the needs and expectations of the event, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

  • Manage and maintain the IT contracts and service level agreements, ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions, and resolving any issues or disputes.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with the IT vendors and suppliers, ensuring clear communication, coordination, and collaboration.

  • Oversee the inventory, distribution, installation, and maintenance of the IT equipment and assets, ensuring compliance with the relevant standards and regulations.

  • Monitor and report on the IT procurement performance, status, and risks, and provide recommendations for improvement and optimization.

  • Support the IT Director and the IT team in the planning and execution of the IT solutions and services for the event program, ensuring alignment and integration with the IT infrastructure, network, security, cloud, data, and communication technologies and platforms.

  • Provide guidance, training, and feedback to the IT procurement staff and contractors, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

You Have These (Add Qualifications): 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 7 years of experience in IT procurement, contract management, vendor management, and project management, preferably in the sports or events industry.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, technical staff, vendors, and partners, as well as diverse and multicultural audiences.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Expertise in IT procurement best practices and industry standards, as well as knowledge of IT infrastructure, network, security, cloud, data, and communication technologies and platforms, and emerging trends and innovation for large-scale events and operations.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during the event period.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.

  •  Establish and maintain effective relationships with key IT vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines. 

  • Identify and evaluate new technologies and solutions that can enhance the IT capabilities and services for large-scale premiere events.

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience.  Endeavor strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.
