The Director, University Business Travel will primarily be responsible for providing excellent client services that drive travel program adoption, retain clients, and help add new clients. The most important metrics of success will be client retention and growth of current clients’ travel programs. This person will work with our University Business Travel operations team and support teams in close partnership to help us maintain and grow successful travel programs in higher ed.
The individual in this role would ideally have experience in sales, account management, business development, or travel operations role. Regardless of the background, an ability to connect our sales and account management efforts to a high functioning operation will be crucial for success. Experience with project management and communicating industry trends to different constituencies is a plus.
Focus on providing excellent client services that drive travel program adoption, client retention, and client growth through proactive communication and personalized service, addressing any issues promptly to ensure long-term satisfaction and identifying opportunities for expanding services with existing clients, presenting new solutions that align with their evolving needs and goals
Engage in industry organizations to maintain and grow Anthony Travel’s brand as the leading higher ed-focused travel management company
Effective outreach to clients regarding industry changes and new services offered by Anthony Travel
Collaborate with operations and support teams to ensure successful operations for clients including, but not limited to, unused ticket management practices, online book tool consultation, savings programs, and travel program performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and highlighting successes
Consult on travel policy to aid current and potential clients on practices that lead to successful travel programs within the context of a specific-university culture and environment
Lead the planning and execution of new client implementations, coordinating with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition
Work directly with clients to understand their unique needs and preferences, customizing implementation plans accordingly
