What You Will Do

  • Estimate the effort required for software testing tasks
  • Test games on supported devices
  • Report bugs clearly and directly, adding all necessary details so that the team responsible for resolving the issue has a complete understanding of what is incorrect
  • Define the priority of bugs according to established guidelines
  • Write test cases according to the specifications of the functionality; build test plans for version approval
  • Establish testing processes
  • Observe and disseminate quality control metrics, such as defect density and the number of open defects
  • Identify the need for tools to test functionalities and specify the scope

What We’re Looking For

  • Analytical: Able to understand the real impact of a bug on the player's experience.
  • Curious: QA works directly with all areas of game development, and a curious profile tends to try to understand the reasons behind decisions and their impact on the product.
  • Proactive: As the last phase of the development cycle, the chance of a QA being unable to complete a task is high. It is important to be very proactive in these moments to seek solutions with other team members
  • Friendly: QA is the professional who points out problems in others' work. It is important to be very friendly when communicating with others to avoid conflicts
  • In-depth knowledge of software quality control techniques, tools, and methods
