Job Description

The Scaled Solutions Engineer at Google's gTech Ads contributes to the development and implementation of globally scalable solutions for ad products. Responsibilities include collecting requirements, designing solutions, building best practices, adapting existing solutions for global use, and managing the solution lifecycle (from discovery to deprecation). The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and ensuring customer success. This position requires strong technical skills in systems design, coding (Python, Java, PHP, etc.), web and cloud technologies, and experience in delivering technical projects.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
3+ years experience in systems design or coding
2+ years experience delivering technical projects
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Proficient in web and cloud technologies

Good to have:

MBA or Master's degree
Experience with ad tech products (ad servers, DSPs, DMPs)
Experience with web analytics

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience in systems design or coding in a general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, PHP, etc.) and working with web and cloud technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP).
2 years of experience in delivering technical projects.
Experience partnering/working with cross-functional teams translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA or Master's degree in a related technical field.
Experience working with ad tech products - ad server, DSPs, DMPs, and web analytics.

We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. The Scaled Technical Services (STS) team within gTech Ads Solutions works with gTech Regional and Enablement teams on globally applicable projects and initiatives. Solutions Engineers work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside other engineers and technical experts to accelerate the identification and development of scaled ads solutions globally.

Responsibilities

Collect requirements, provide guidance, and best practices to apply to ad products and technologies.
Be responsible for proactively scoping, designing, and building series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be reused by customers, sellers, partners.
Adapt existing bespoke ads solutions created by regional teams into globally scaled solutions that can support customers.
Own solution life cycle from discovery to launch, handling maintenance bugs and feature requests, as well as deprecation for a portfolio of scaled solutions.
