What will your work involve?
Within our broad Risk Modelling Services practice in Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Utrecht, you'll work on assignments for insurers, banks, pension funds/administrators, asset managers, public authorities, and national/international companies. Their success will depend in part on your strategic insight, your communication skills, and your boldness in coming up with innovative ideas. You'll work with colleagues from other teams to provide the best possible service to our clients from different disciplines. Our work is very diverse and relies on your analytical skills. According to your interests and ambition, you could be involved in the following tasks, among others:
Developing models for valuation and capital calculations of actuarial and financial risks, credit risk, market risk;
Validating, reviewing, or auditing these models;
Advising on balance sheet management and ALM;
Analyzing big data from insurers, banks, and pension funds/administrators, and based on this designing practical solutions to clients’ issues, for example using machine learning algorithms or other state-of-the-art technology;
Analyzing HR data in collaboration with our People Analytics team for a wide range of clients;
Supporting merger and acquisition processes;
Quantitative consulting for pricing, cyber risk, and other application areas using R, Python, or another programming language;
Advising clients on new technologies and developments.
Who are you?
You're someone who loves a challenge and who's curious about how to provide the best possible advice for our clients. You’d therefore like to gain experience in various specialist fields to discover what suits you best. You wish to develop, establish relationships, and get the best out of yourself and your colleagues.
You have a university degree in Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a comparable technical subject;
You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience at insurers, investment institutions, banks, and/or consultancy firms in the field of actuarial or financial risk, capital management, balance sheet management, and financial planning models;
You have a good command of Dutch and English.
You enjoy finding practical and creative ways to continuously analyze and solve new issues;
You know how to inspire and engage clients with your consulting skills;
You like working in a team.
