Job Description

The Impact Measurement team at YouTube uses advanced statistical methods to generate insights for critical business decisions. As a Senior Business Data Scientist specializing in AI and Data Engineering, you'll extract insights from diverse data sources (videos, surveys) using AI techniques like content classification and sentiment analysis. You'll determine analytical approaches, communicate findings to various stakeholders, and serve as a peer reviewer. Responsibilities include extracting insights, presenting recommendations, consulting team members, and staying updated on ML/AI advancements. The role requires expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI, along with experience in data analysis and communication.

Must have:

Master's degree in quantitative discipline
4+ years analytics experience solving business problems
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL
Database querying & statistical analysis
Extract insights from diverse data sources
Communicate findings to executives

Good to have:

PhD in related field
6+ years data science experience
Experience with human evaluation data (surveys)

Minimum qualifications:

Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or Mathematics.
6 years of experience in data science or quantitative analytics with a focus on statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI.
Experience with human evaluation data (e.g., surveys).

You will work on classifying video content, performing sentiment analysis on unstructured text, and extracting meaningful patterns from datasets. You will own the process of determining analytical approaches and will communicate findings to decision-makers across a range of technical backgrounds.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$223,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
