Job Description

As a Senior Field Sales Representative for Google Cloud, focused on the Automotive industry and requiring fluency in English and Japanese, you'll lead a dedicated account team. Your responsibilities include building executive relationships with enterprise customers, influencing strategic direction, and managing the business cycle. You'll lead account strategy, collaborate with Customer Engineers and Google Partners, and understand customer technology footprints and growth plans. You'll drive business development, forecasting accurately to achieve strategic goals, guiding customers through the entire sales cycle. This involves working with sales engineers and customer technical leads to assess existing software, create migration plans, and build business cases for migrations to GCP. Regular domestic travel is required (2-3 trips/month).
Must have:
  • 15+ years field sales experience in technology
  • Cloud/IT solution development experience
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
  • Lead account strategy and business development
  • Executive relationship building
  • Manage business cycle and presentations
Good to have:
  • Commercial and legal negotiation experience
  • Partner management experience (system integrators, software vendors)
  • Experience with infrastructure software, databases, analytics, or application software
  • Automotive industry sales experience
  • Software estate inventory, migration plan definition, and business case creation skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience with field sales in the technology industry.
  • Experience developing Cloud or IT solutions.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently at business level as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese and English with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with commercial and legal negotiations working with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Experience working with and managing partners in implementation projects, including global system integrators and packaged software vendors.
  • Experience promoting infrastructure software, databases, analytic tools, or application software.
  • Experience in sales management within the automotive industry.
  • Ability to work with sales engineers and customer technical leads to inventory existing software estate, define migration plans, and build business cases for migrations.
  • Ability to travel 2-3 business trips per month (mainly domestic) .

Responsibilities

  • Build executive relationships with enterprise customers, influence strategic direction, and serve as a business partner.
  • Manage business cycle and present to corporate and global customers/executives.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Customer Engineers and Google Partners to maximize business results in the territory and open up opportunities with large enterprise customers.
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans and business drivers, technology strategy, and landscape.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
