Job Description

Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a hub in San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations.

About the GTM FP&A Team

Our Go-To-Market (GTM) FP&A team collaborates with our world-class Sales, Marketing and International teams to supercharge our growth motions to help Canva become one of the most valuable companies in the world.

As the Senior Finance Manager, Sales FP&A, reporting to the Head of FP&A GTM, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy for our Enterprise SaaS offerings and contribute to high-impact decisions alongside senior leadership.

About the role

At our latest Canva Create, we launched Canva Enterprise, our newest subscription offering designed to empower large organizations to easily create high-impact visual content and scale internal collaboration. Enterprise is a key pillar of our business strategy, requiring deep partnership with Finance to support revenue targets and accelerate its growth.

As the Senior Finance Manager, Sales FP&A, you will be the lead business partner for our Sales & Success organization, working with leaders across Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, Customer Success and the broader FP&A teams, to develop financial models, guide resource allocation and shape growth and margin expansion strategies at a global level.

This role offers significant breadth, spanning full P&L ownership, laying the foundations for regular financial reporting, assessing new opportunities, collaboration on investment plans, providing key insights helping to drive Canva’s long-term success.

This highly collaborative role gives you the autonomy to sharpe the sales finance strategy from cost management to top-line growth. It’s a unique opportunity to build Sales Finance from the ground up in a greenfield environment, as Canva scales its global presence and enterprise offerings. If you're ready for a transformative role in a rapidly growing company, there’s no better time to join!

What you’ll be doing

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. You’ll add value through:

  • Partner with Sales & Success Leaders: Serve as the key financial business partner to sales, helping to develop and refine financial models, strategies, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Full P&L Management: Own the sales P&L, helping guide business leaders to make investments and efforts in the right areas to drive topline growth and segment profitability. You will work closely with other FP&A teams, such as topline FP&A to understand the topline models, and drive consistency between business strategy, investment decisions and Canva’s financial forecasts
  • Create Clarity in Ambiguity: Define the sales FP&A partnership and value add with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams, to create a robust and well known team brand.
  • Drive Sales Metrics & GTM Insights: Be the expert on sales metrics and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, working with data and sales strategy to optimize performance and align with Canva's long-term growth ambitions.
  • Strategic and Tactical Execution: Operate at both strategic and operational levels—this is a hands-on role where you’ll craft and implement processes, as well as partner with senior stakeholders to drive impact.
  • Create and Implement Frameworks: Develop and implement frameworks and processes that enable effective investment planning, resource allocation, and performance management, ensuring alignment with Canva’s long-term goals.

What we’re looking for

  • SaaS Experience in B2B Enterprise Sector: Strong experience in SaaS, with a focus on enterprise and B2B markets.
  • End-to-End P&L Understanding: Demonstrated ability to understand and manage the full P&L, connecting the dots between marketing, product, and sales.
  • Deep Knowledge of Sales Metrics & GTM Strategies: Experience in analyzing and optimising sales sales metrics and growth levers, using insights to refine GTM strategy and commercial outcomes.
  • Embracing challenges with high adaptability: Proven ability to create clarity in chaotic, unstructured situations and drive results in fast-paced environments.
  • Balance of Strategic and Hands-On Abilities: Able to operate at both a high strategic level while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver tactical outcomes
  • Strong Communication Skills: You are a succinct and engaging communicator (your resume is a great way to show this).
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
