Job Description
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will maintain existing services (bug fixes, security updates, improvements in Java, Scala, and TypeScript), build new APIs and web applications (Java/Scala), and migrate legacy services to new technologies (Java). The role requires 5+ years of Java/Spring Boot experience for developing APIs and web applications. You will work on a large-scale platform serving millions of users across 18 countries. The position requires strong DevOps skills for monitoring and data analysis, familiarity with AWS (RDS/SQL, Lambda, Kafka), and proficiency with Docker/Containers.
Must have:

Job Details
Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of existing services (e.g., bug fixes, security updates, improvements in Java, Scala, and TypeScript)
- Building new APIs and web applications (Java/ Scala)
- Migrating legacy services to new technologies (Java)
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot for developing APIs and web applications.
- A self-driven, quick learner who can grasp tasks, gather necessary information, and work independently.
- DevOps skills for monitoring and data analysis
- Exposure to or experience with Scala, or eagerness to learn it;
- Hands-on experience with Cloud hosting on AWS
- Experience with AWS RDS/SQL databases.
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda and AWS Kafka.
Should-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in working with Docker/Containers.
- Experience with HTML
- Experience with CSS
- Hands-on experience with Typescript
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog.
- Proficiency in React for web application development.
- Experience with Scala
