You will run the execution of Visa’s risk policies and programs in the areas of Ecosystem Security and Integrity – across Issuers and Acquirers of the Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) region. These risk programs have the objectives of maintaining a resilient payment ecosystem and its integrity, by identifying and remediating high risk clients as well as by eliminating illegal and brand damaging merchants.
Visa has a specific program, Visa Integrity Risk Program (VIRP), aimed to maintain ecosystem integrity. The program framework proactively helps deter and detect utilization of Visa payment rails to facilitate illegal transactions and prevent financial and reputational damage to payment ecosystem and consumers. Visa designates merchants as high integrity risk when they operate in business types that are legal, but without proper controls, pose elevated risk to the payment ecosystem. This program ensures the integrity of the payments ecosystem in compliance with Visa’s rules and applicable laws.
The role involves coordination and execution of VIRP reviews and underwriting of Acquirers intended to operate in high integrity risk acceptance and support the improvement and execution of risk reviews during Licensing process. This role would also include frequent interactions with internal stakeholders including Risk Managers (RMs), Business Teams, and Global Risk counterparts. The role will provide opportunities to communicate with clients and other external stakeholders around risk program notifications. The role is part of the CEMEA Risk Strategy & Operations team, with a direct report to the Director, Visa Integrity Risk Program.
