Develop game systems for Palia, the multiplayer community sim game from Singularity 6. We are seeking an experienced Game Engineer to join our Gameplay team, helping us build and strengthen the way that players express themselves in the world.

Most of our game engineers are generalists and may find themselves working on anything from gameplay, UE5 engine modifications, performance tuning, tools, and workflow improvements for designers and tech artists. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach and open feedback environment in which you’ll work closely with designers and others in crafting Palia.

What We're Looking For:

  • You’ll join one of our several cross-functional teams, with other engineers, designers, and artists and participate in developing Palia; you are someone excited to work with and contribute as part of a team.
  • You are a strong programmer well-versed in C++ game systems in Unreal Engine 5.
  • You are comfortable developing and debugging in multithreaded code and multiplayer networked systems.
  • You take responsibility for developing automated tests, instrumenting telemetry and participating in peer review of your work and the work of your colleagues.
  • You help support our on-call team by diagnosing issues and fixing bugs.

Nice to Have:

  • “AAA” Game Development: You have 5 or more years of experience developing and shipping games using a modern game engine. We have a strong preference for engineers with prior experience in Unreal Engine and/or multiplatform experience
  • Passion for Online Games: You have a passion for great gameplay. You’re a pragmatic engineer that puts player experience over your own ego and code.
  • Learning and Delivering: You want to learn something new. We’re largely a team of generalists. Your work may take you into systems you’ve not touched before.
