Job Description

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, you will be a part of the Core team which builds the technical foundation for Google's flagship products. You will be responsible for managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will also be involved in the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of software solutions. You will provide technical leadership on high-impact projects and influence and coach a distributed team of engineers. You will also facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture
  • 5 years of experience with testing/launching software products
  • Experience with data structures/algorithms
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects
  • Experience with multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, etc.)
  • Experience with Front-End related languages (e.g., Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript)
  • Experience in storage services (e.g., Spanner, MySQL, NoSQL systems)
  • Experience in technical leadership of software groups
  • Experience in developing security or privacy products
