Job Description

This SharePoint Administrator role involves managing the SharePoint environment, providing user support, developing and maintaining SharePoint sites, and monitoring performance. It includes implementing security protocols, managing backups, customizing applications, and maintaining documentation. The administrator will also stay updated on best practices. The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration across teams. The SharePoint administrator will manage SharePoint environment, provide user support, develop and maintain SharePoint sites and workflows, monitor SharePoint performance, implement security protocols, manage backups and recovery, customize applications, maintain documentation and improve user experience.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of SharePoint administration experience
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online and Server
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and integration
Good to have:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate)

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
• Administration: Manages the SharePoint environment, including site collections, libraries, lists, and permissions to ensure efficient and secure operation.
• User Support: Technical support troubleshooting issues, providing ticket support, and training to users, assisting with SharePoint-business software related issues and promoting best software business practices.
• Site Development: Collaborates with stakeholders to design, create, and maintain SharePoint sites and workflows that meet organizational needs.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitors SharePoint and various business software environments for performance issues, conducting routine maintenance and updates as needed.
• Security Management: Implements and enforces security protocols and policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Creates and maintains Azure Entra Security role-based access groups and ensures proper assignment using the least privileged access security model.
• Backup and Recovery: Develops, manages backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Customization and Development: Work across multiple disciplines to customize SharePoint applications and integrate third-party solutions as necessary.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of SharePoint, various business software configurations, processes, and user guides to support ongoing operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on SharePoint and business software features and best practices as assigned, recommending enhancements and new functionalities to improve user experience. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, and related technologies.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and its integration with SharePoint.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate) are a plus.
