Job Description

ABBYY seeks a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Infrastructure and Kubernetes. You'll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of features and services, ensuring high quality, performance, and maintainability. This hands-on role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting solutions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll also be tasked with continuous improvement, system reliability, and staying ahead of emerging technologies. Ideal candidates will have proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP a plus), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and a strong understanding of networking, storage, and security principles in cloud environments.
Must have:
  • Experience with managing Cloud Infrastructure (Azure preferred)
  • Hands-on Kubernetes, Linux, and Docker experience
  • Terraform proficiency for Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with designing and maintaining secure infrastructure
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, and security in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with cloud-native services (Azure Kubernetes Service, AWS EKS)
  • Experience with constructing Helm charts and use of 3rd Party Helm charts
  • Proficiency with development of GoLang applications
  • Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer who thrives in a hands-on technical role with a focus on owning the quality of the code and systems they develop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of features and systems, ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle. Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Development: Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of features and services from concept to delivery.
  • Quality Ownership: Ensure high code quality, performance, and maintainability by following best practices and conducting thorough code reviews, automated testing, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, to define and deliver features that meet both business and technical objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement within the codebase, infrastructure, and development process. Drive solutions that increase team efficiency and code quality.
  • System Reliability: Monitor the health and performance of services and ensure timely resolution of issues and bugs.
  • Technical Innovation: Stay current with new technologies and trends to ensure the systems you build are modern, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 - 3 Years Experience in the Focus Scope of Responsibility: Component
  • Expertise in managing Cloud Infrastructure (preferably Azure, but experience with AWS or GCP is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux, and Docker for container orchestration, ensuring efficient and scalable deployments.
  • Terraform proficiency for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including creating reusable modules, managing state, and multi-environment setups.
  • Experience with designing and maintaining secure, reliable, and highly available infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, security in cloud environments, and strong familiarity with cloud-native services (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service, AWS EKS).
  • Experience with construction of Helm charts and use of 3rd Party Helm charts
  • Proficiency with development of GoLang applications
  • Code Quality: Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following best practices such as TDD, unit testing, and code reviews.
