Software Engineering Advisor (IBM)
Position Overview:
Software Engineer supporting Cigna's deployment of Payment Integrity Applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design Business Process Definition (BPD) for the IBM Applications Claim Processes using IBM Business Process Management (BPM) Business Automation Workflow.
- Develop, code, and unit test T4 Application workflow services, Ajax services, database connectors, integration services, and user interfaces.
- Participate in peer code reviews.
- Develop reusable assets using the IBM BPM toolkit for commonly occurring work across multiple processes and services.
- Participate in planning and technical design discussions with other developers, managers, and architects to meet application requirements and performance goals.
- Deploy BPM Process snapshots in higher environments such as System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Release Testing, and Users Training environments.
- Contribute to production support to resolve application production issues.
- Work with the IBM BPM infrastructure support team and the database team for production deployment and maintenance activities for the T4 Application.
- Manage the application demos to business users and Product Owners regularly in Sprint and PI demos.
- Work with Business users and Product Owners to understand business requirements.
- Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and user stories grooming with Scrum masters, developers, QA Analysts, and product owners.
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings to provide daily work status updates to the Scrum master and product owner, following Agile Methodology.
- Write Structured Query Language (SQL) stored procedures and SQL queries for create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) operations for the T4 Application database.
- Write and maintain T4 Application technical and design documents.
Required Skills:
- Technology Stack: IBM BAW (Business Automation Workflow), JAVA, Python, PL/SQL, Kafka, Java Script.
- Hands orience with IBM BAW.
- Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns and Data Structures.
- Experience in building REST APIs/Microservices.
- Strong understanding of Workflow design and process development.
- Strong experience in PO/SQL programming skills.
- Experience with SQL Databases like MS SQL, DB2 & Oracle.
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with business users POn expes/PMs.
- Willingness to show interest in learning new technologies regularly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience and technical knowledge.
- 11-13 years of total related experience.
- 8+ Years of extensive experience as a Lead Developer in IBM Business Automation Workflow and IBM Integration Designer.
- 8+ years in Designing and Developing Client-Side Human Services using JavaScript, dojo and Angular JS.
- 8+ Years of IID Experience in developing SCA components with BPM Adapters like JDBC, MQ, File, & e-Mail etc.
- Experience in Integrating with different ECM Systems FileNet and SharePoint.
- Experience in developing Dashboards by capturing process metrics and KPIs.
- Experience in developing and integrating with web services-based applications with SOA (Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, REST) in J2EE implementations.
- Experience with UI frameworks such as Angular JS, Node JS, and Dojo
- Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge in AWS services.
- Healthcare experience including claim process, reimbursement, and provider domains.
- Coaching of team members.
