Description

Position at Ookla

Ookla® is a global leader in connectivity intelligence, offering unparalleled network insights through the combined expertise of Speedtest®, Downdetector®, RootMetrics®, and Ekahau®.

Ookla’s complementary datasets combine crowdsourced and controlled, public and private collection methods, QoS and QoE metrics, and more to unlock correlations and actionable insights — helping organizations optimize networks, enhance digital experiences, and create better connected experiences for end-users.

Our team is a group of people brought together through passion and inspired by possibility. We are looking for team members who love solving problems, are motivated by challenges, and enjoy turning clever ideas into exceptional products. When you work for us, you are using Ookla data and insights to advance our mission of better connectivity for all.

We ensure networks are optimized using the right number of access points, positioned in the right locations, and with the right configurations to deliver awesome Wi-Fi every day. Businesses of every size, including the world’s biggest brands and events, trust Ekahau to get the best performance from their wireless networks.

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our team developing state-of-the-art web applications for enabling our customers to design and optimize their Wi-Fi networks as easily and effortlessly as possible.

We highly value an engineering mindset: when faced with a challenge, you're ready to roll up your sleeves and step out of your comfort zone. Whether it's learning a new programming language, diving into a debugger to resolve performance bottlenecks, or designing the most efficient algorithm for calculating radio signal propagation, you're eager to explore and tackle unfamiliar problems head-on.

Our current technology stack includes (but is not limited to) Vue.js, TypeScript, Kotlin, AWS, GraphQL, and we’re working utilizing agile methodologies.

We are committed to providing you a flexible work environment where individuality, fun, and talent are all valued equally. If you consider yourself innovative, adept at collaboration, and you care deeply about the work you do, we want to talk!
