Job Description

As a Staff Software Engineer at Google Cloud Platform, you will work on high-impact projects and provide technical leadership to a distributed team of engineers. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions. You will also need to facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines, manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in software development
8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms
8 years of experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python)
5 years of experience testing and launching software products
3 years of experience with software design and architecture

Good to have:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
8 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, etc.).
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
