Job Description

The Strategic Partner Manager, Channel Partnerships at Google will manage third-party partners, driving business growth and publisher satisfaction through ad business generation solutions. Responsibilities include forecasting and reporting business growth, evaluating and prioritizing opportunities, leading innovation projects, managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, and maximizing business growth through Google's products (AdSense, AdMob, Google Ad Manager). The role requires collaboration with C-level executives and cross-functional teams, leveraging data to develop strategies, and exceeding partner expectations. This role focuses on providing creative online advertising solutions for publishers and developers, identifying new opportunities, and strengthening partner relationships.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience with Advertising Technology or Digital Marketing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with online advertising or ad business generation solutions.
  • Experience in channel management, agency management or business development.
  • Experience working autonomously in a fluid and a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to understand technical product aspects and develop data-driven recommendations and plans.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

In this role you will provide creative, online advertising solutions for publishers and developers and identify new opportunities. Some of the publishers on the web rely on our products and you will always try to exceed the expectations and strengthen our partner relationships. You will help grow Google's business with the online publishers and provide account management for users of AdSense, Admob, Google Ad Manager and more.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,500-$123,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our third-party partners with a focus on driving business and publisher satisfaction via ad business generation solutions. 
  • Forecast and report business growth and other metrics, including tracking actual progress toward forecasts.
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities from a tactical, financial and operational point of view while translating data into strategies for our third-party partners. Lead ad-hoc innovation projects to develop Google’s Channel Partnerships business.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including the executive leadership team. Manage relationships with a broad spectrum of other functions, such as Product and gTech.
  • Manage primary relationships with Channel Partners at all levels. Manage and maximize business growth through Google’s products.
