Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions will focus on growing Google's small and medium-sized business (SMB) clientele in Romania. This role requires fluency in Romanian and English for effective client relationship management. Responsibilities include delivering against quarterly growth goals, owning a portfolio of SMBs, developing and implementing growth strategies, managing risks, building quarterly achievement plans, and establishing strong client relationships. The strategist will conduct regular consultations and sales pitches, advising clients on optimizing Google Ads investments, overseeing stakeholder management, and achieving customer business and marketing objectives. Success requires strategic assessment of client needs, utilizing effective sales techniques, and building strong relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in advertising or media sales, ideally within the Romanian market, with a demonstrated ability to exceed sales quotas.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising, sales, or marketing
  • Fluent in Romanian and English
  • Client relationship management skills
  • Sales and consultative skills
  • Digital advertising campaign management
  • Meeting/exceeding sales quotas
Good to have:
  • Experience in performance marketing
  • Strong narrative building and storytelling abilities
  • Strategic assessment of client success
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in Romanian and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged selling.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and expertise in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Romania, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against quarterly business and product growth goals. 
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building quarterly plans for achievement
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on the Google Ads investment.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Oversee stakeholder management and build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
