Job Description

The Systems Administrator Infrastructure at Medtech ensures secure, connected, and smoothly operating information and technology systems for staff and contractors. This involves day-to-day monitoring, repairs, hardware/software installation, and providing support, training, and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include maintaining uninterrupted access to approved systems, managing user accounts, supporting core platforms like D365 CRM and Azure, and ensuring a secure workplace through security configurations, policy adherence, and backup regimes.
Must have:
  • Provisioning, maintenance and repair of desktop/workstation hardware and approved software.
  • Add and maintain end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations.
  • Help maintain IT fixed asset register for warranty, licensing, allocation, and software management.
  • Support core operations platforms: D365 CRM, SharePoint, O365, Telephony (8x8), Azure AAD and DevOps.
  • Monitor incident management queues and completeness of outsource service operations.
  • Contribute to software/system deployments and support CAB and release management processes.
  • Manage licensing and subscriptions to ensure compliance and availability of systems.
  • Manage Medtech cloud infrastructure and work closely with contracted service providers.
  • Provision of scheduled and rostered on-call support where required.
  • Assess and maintain appropriate security configuration within infrastructure and deployed applications.
  • Maintain appropriate security configuration (Firewalls, Servers etc.) to protect data and code.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Assist with regular review on the ISO & ISMS policies & procedures.
  • Assist in Internal audit & external audit and report any non-conformities.
  • Assess and maintain all systems backup regimes and over-arching business continuity plans.

Job Purpose

The Systems Administrator Infrastructure is responsible for enabling Medtech staff and contractors to undertake their roles and duties for the Medtech by ensuring all required and approved information and technology systems used are secure, connected and operating smoothly and as intended. This includes day-to-day monitoring, repairs, installation of approved hardware and software and providing support, training and troubleshooting as required.

Outcomes I’m responsible for:

Ensuring that Medtech Users and Contractors have uninterrupted access to approved systems and software required to undertake their respective roles in Medtech

  • Provisioning, maintenance and repair of desktop/workstation hardware and approved software
  • Add and maintain end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with policy and procedures
  • Help maintain IT fixed asset register for warranty, licensing, allocation, and software management purposes
  • Support core operations platforms; D365 CRM, SharePoint, O365, Telephony (8x8), Azure AAD and DevOps and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor incident management queues and completeness of outsource service operations and availability of system, server, application, network and applications
  • Contribute to software/system deployments and support CAB and release management processes
  • Manage licensing and subscriptions to ensure compliance and availability of systems.
  • Manage Medtech cloud infrastructure and work closely with contracted service providers to ensure expected service levels are maintained and achieved
  • Provision of scheduled and rostered on-call support where required

Ensuring a secure information and systems workplace platform for Medtech Staff and Contractors

  • Assess and maintain appropriate security configuration within infrastructure and deployed applications to protect data and code
  • Maintain appropriate security configuration (Firewalls, Servers etc.) within infrastructure and deployed applications to protect data and code.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
  • Assist with regular review on the ISO & ISMS policies & procedures

What I bring to the role

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in systems administration.
  • Broad and practical knowledge of computer operations, operating systems and network communications.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Azure Cloud platforms, including Office365, Dynamics, Azure Active Directory, MDM and Azure Security tools.
  • Customer service driven, with advanced problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written with open communication
  • Ability to manage priorities with excellent attention to detail
