Job Description

This role involves full-cycle software development for a large z/OS mainframe-based application portfolio, transitioning to a cloud-based setup. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining batch and online services for cash account management. The position requires extensive ABAP development experience within SAP systems, particularly Banking Services 9.0 and FS-AM Module, along with a strong understanding of BADIs/BAPIs, enhancements, user exits, workflows, and parallel batch processing. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology partners, focusing on S/4 HANA performance tuning and resolving software defects. Experience with legacy system interfacing to S/4 HANA is a plus. The role is based in Pune, India.

Must have:

5+ years ABAP development experience
SAP Banking Services 9.0 expertise
FS-AM Module experience
BADIs/BAPIs, enhancements, user exits knowledge
S/4 HANA performance tuning skills
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

Good to have:

Microsoft Azure knowledge
Red Hat Linux and Ansible scripting
ABAP Development Programming Skills
Legacy systems to S4 HANA interfacing experience

Project description

You will be part of one of the “Client Account, Interest and Cash Management” pod in Pune, one of several Operational Accounting pods, which are working out of Zurich, Manila and Pune.
We are responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining a large z/OS mainframe-based application portfolio, consisting of batch and online services, which plays a crucial role in our day-to-day operation. This by taking care for the IT management of our customer’s Cash Accounts in Switzerland, parts of EMEA, Hong Kong/Singapore and the US, providing intraday cash positions and cash availability checks for internal customers and by enhancing and harmonizing booking feeds to several internal booking systems.
The current mainframe z/OS-centric setup is seeing a fundamental change in the next years, as we’re heading towards a cloud-based setup, which gives you the chance to be part of this transition and its challenges from the very first moment.

Responsibilities

engage in full cycle software development including requirements, design, implementation, and support of systems used by our business partners

work closely with the business and technology partners to design best-in-class solutions and drive their implementation

develop and deliver high quality software for the Cash Accounting & Client Cash Management area and its projects

develop and maintain technical documentation

Skills

Must have

Minimum 5 years of experience in a development & analytical role

Comprehensive experience in the ABAP development with SAP systems, in particular Banking Services 9.0

Experience in FS-AM Module

In-depth understanding of and hands-on experience with:

BADIs/BAPIs,

implicit and explicit enhancements,

User exits,

SAP workflow and SAP parallel batch processing.

Strong background in S/4 HANA performance tuning

Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve software defects and issues

Education in Computer Science and excellent Software Design skills

Nice to have

Knowledge on Microsoft Azure, Red hat Lunix and Ansible scripting.

Knowledge of ABAP Development Programming Skills

Experience on Interfacing to legacy systems to S4 HANA.
