Welcome to Amazon Games Bucharest! Joining the ranks of the existing development teams in Orange County, Montreal, San Diego and Seattle, we’re excited to expand Amazon Games’ commitment to creating and publishing incredible games, and we’re on the lookout for talented folks to join us as we grow.

At Amazon Games, our ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around our games. Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World, with our studios and teams in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, and Montreal. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class games working closely with our partners, leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, Throne and Liberty from NCSOFT, as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.

As a Senior Environment Artist, you will take part in creating high-quality and exciting environments. While respecting artistic management, you will also be working with other specialties in designing game spaces and ensure game playability.

Key job responsibilities
- Creating models and assembling scenes for organic and architectural environments based on a given narrative
- Participating in the development of shaders, textures and lighting for the final rendering of levels
- Building briefs and assembling reference material
- Troubleshooting level issues and maintaining levels so that they respect the frame rate and memory capacities
- Working with the design to overcome art/design challenges and ensuring that the levels perform well and are playable
- Ensuring that the art style is consistent with the overall artistic direction set by Amazon Games leadership.
- Ensuring the application of best practices, production pipelines and workflows

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Significant experience in creating environments for AAA games
- Portfolio with examples of levels and 3D elements created from start to finish

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Portfolio showing skills in composition and visual narration
- Ability to work in a team
- Attention to detail
- Good task and priority management skills
