Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager in Zscaler's Strategy & Planning team, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects related to Enterprise Data. This involves collaborating with stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure seamless integration. Responsibilities include facilitating communication, tracking performance, managing issues and risks, creating comprehensive project documentation (executive-level communications, dashboards, plans, reports), and building strong working relationships across the organization. The role requires expertise in project management tools (Jira, Asana), SDLC, Agile methodologies, and strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Change management expertise is highly valued.

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our Strategy & Planning team. Reporting to the VP- Strategy Planning & Execution, you will:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects related to Enterprise Data, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with key business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure seamless integration and alignment of technology initiatives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among teams, track performance against commitments, and manage issues and risks to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
  • Create comprehensive project documentation, including executive-level communications, dashboards, project plans, and status reports, keeping stakeholders informed about progress, milestones, and potential risks.
  • Build strong working relationships and quickly establish credibility across the organization, maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout all project phases.
What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager and a strong understanding of Enterprise Data, data analytics and data governance.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects within scope and timelines, leveraging strong leadership skills and effective cross-department collaboration.
  • Expertise in project management tools (Jira, Asana), SDLC, Agile methodologies, and a problem-solving mindset for resolving project-related issues.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, with change management expertise to guide end-users through technology transitions.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience managing projects related to Enterprise Data
  • Change management expertise, particularly in guiding end-users through technology transitions.
  • Proficiency with project management applications such as Asana.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range
$98,000$140,000 USD
